WHAT WE DO
Friends of the Buda Public Library
We are dedicated to meeting the needs of a diverse and rapidly growing community supporting our library in sustaining, expanding and improving excellent staff services, library collections, computers, furnishings, and library staff training.
We support the library in these ways and others:
- Buda Library’s Summer Reading Program which serves hundreds of our local children. This program has the Kickoff Party in May and a big Awards Ceremony in August.
- Many fun and educational workshops for adults, children and teens throughout the year.
- Continuing education and professional development for our excellent library staff.
- Purchase of new books and periodicals.
- Purchase of computer equipment and software including the library checkout system.
- Purchase of furniture and displays
We meet the second Monday of each month in the Buda Library meeting room at 7:00pm.
