Each year our short story contest is open to nonprofessional writers aged 17+. Each summer the Young Writers Contest is an opportunity for kids to flex their writing muscles and show off their imaginations. The contest is open to kids ages 8-17 in two divisions. The contest is sponsored by the Friends in partnership with the Buda Library and Hays Free Press. Writers GroupOpen to anyone interested in writing (fiction, nonfiction, short or long form, etc). Get constructive, helpful feedback and support for your work. We meet in the Library Classroom at 7pm on the third Tuesday of each month. |
