Shop a wide variety of gently used books for incredibly low prices while supporting the Buda Library! The Annual Book Sale is held the first weekend in December at the City Municipal Complex in partnership with the library.

Do I need to be a member of the Friends of the Library to attend the sale?
Only the Preview Sale requires membership. Membership may be purchased or renewed at the door during the Preview Sale.
How much are books and materials (DVDs, CDs, etc.) at the sale?
Do I need to bring my own bags?
No. Plastic bags are provided.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, or credit cards. Please note all sales are final.
Where do the items in the sale come from?
Items are donated throughout the year by community members. The library donates items that have been pulled from circulation.
Do you sell children's books?
Yes. This is a popular section so we suggest you shop early!
Where is the book sale held?
The sale will be held in the Multipurpose Room of the City Municipal Complex, 405 Loop St.
Is parking available at the City Municipal Complex? Yes.
Where do proceeds from the sale go?
ALL proceeds benefit the Buda Public Library. Your purchase helps support library programs and services and is an investment in our community!
What happens to the books at the end of the sale?
Materials are donated to local organizations and nonprofits.
Can I donate books during the sale?
We welcome your donations before and after the sale. Books can be donated throughout the year at the Buda Library. See book donation guidelines.
Can I volunteer at the sale?
Yes! We need help with setting up tables and sorting books prior to the sale and with staffing during the sale. Contact email@example.com to volunteer.
