Our volunteer board dedicate their leadership, talents and time to ensure the organization continues to grow and meet the needs of our library and community.
Joan Givens: Joan spent the first half of her adult life working in mental health and education. Now retired from employment, she devotes herself to volunteerism, travel, reading, and keeping up with technology.
Marc Hunter: An active member of the Friends and the Library Commission, Marc believes libraries, literacy, and learning are the foundations of successful communities and individuals.
Allison Teegardin: Allison is a small business owner, member of the Buda Area Chamber of Commerce and adjunct professor at Austin Community College. When she isn't buried in a good book, you can find her outside with her dogs or cooking up something delicious in the kitchen with her husband.
Cecilia Cortez: Cecilia has more than 18 years experience working in the nonprofit sector as a communications specialist. A library enthusiast since she was a child, she is happiest lost in and among books.
Carla Woodworth: Carla has been volunteering in different capacities for nonprofits since moving to Buda in 2008. She is a retired RN and currently works part-time for Hays CISD as a “guest” teacher. She enjoys reading, quilting, volunteering at PAWS, and exploring different places on her bucket list.
The Board meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm at the City of Buda Municipal Complex. Please join us!
